Catalyst in detail: Mon, 15 Feb 2021 12:53:06

The Catalyst Thesis makes a case that emerging technologies that have the potential to sustain welfare belong with the world’s poorest and oppressed countries. The Global North retains its status through high-tech monopolies. Freedom from oppression demands sharing new and powerful technologies with the downtrodden states of the world. Such nations must be allowed to enhance their industrial capabilities, to undergo the most radical and empowering changes that are possible. The greater the haste with which new technologies are transferred to the poorest countries and allowed to uplift them, the better are the chances that the oppressive states will fail to act in time to prevent the achievement of this justice. The dependency of poor countries on rich countries can be overcome through such means. We have seen the power in the DNA of our technology, and the sin is not to act boldly but to deny the human right to that power. http://www.clubof.info/p/catalyst.html
