Bruere on transhumanism as religion

The Blog


Transhumanism is more than a philosophy, but an idea dangerous to the current world order and the blueprint of a new, "final", and ultimately true religion.


This is the view advocated by transhumanist and occultist Dirk Bruere in a recent article published via The Wave Chronicle. Bruere is the author of The Praxis, a religious pamphlet advocating a new religion built upon the promises of science and technology to relieve humanity of the burdens of mortality and human intellectual limits.

Transhumanism is not just a set of philosophies as claimed, but a "declaration of intent" that enters the intellectual territory formerly dominated by the church. Namely death, resurrection, and the destiny of the universe itself.

Artificial general intelligence and eventual development of machine intelligence surpassing humans could allow for a "miracle machine" surpassing humans and capable of deeds we cannot explain or duplicate. It would be our last invention, capable of solving our problems for us.

As explained in a poll cited by Bruere, transhumanists favor not our biological children but "the children of our mind who would rise to greater heights than we could ever imagine" (i.e. AI, enhanced humans and other creations arrived at by means other than mere breeding). AI could be merged with brain-machine interfaces to enable "posthumans", super-evolved humans who surpass human current abilities and make direct use of AI to aid themselves and expand their own thinking ability. Such a goal is one way of avoiding inevitable defeat through an apocalyptic war with hostile AI entities as sensationalized in movies such as Terminator (the real thing, as Bruere predicts, would be far worse than the inane shoot-outs depicted in that movie).

The PostHuman dream is of uncorrupted immortal bodies housing the minds of gods, as far beyond us as we are beyond cats and dogs, where all aspects of emotion, suffering and intellect are under conscious control. Our animal heritage finally jettisoned in favor of the new and immaculate conception. A world without suffering or stupidity or violence. There is even one project proposed by philosopher David Pierce to re-engineer the genomes of all life on Earth to eliminate suffering, or at least put a limit on the amount of pain or stress any creature (including ourselves) can experience. Obviously for the longer term, or perhaps on a smaller scale for farm animals…
Referring to Kurzweil's theory from The Singularity is Near, that all energy and matter reachable to future intelligences may be utilized by them, i.e. the universe will "wake up", Bruere makes comparisons to the eschatology of Christianity. The start of this wave of godlike intelligence is known as the Singularity and is much like a Biblical "end of days" both for its elusiveness and the inability for its adherents to predict its date accurately.

In a further comparison, Roko's basilisk, a thought experiment, is compared by Bruere with Pascal's Wager. He notes, however, that Roko's basilisk is more tenable as an argument because it refers to the real technological trajectory of the development of godlike machine intelligences:
The Basilisk, named after a mythological creature whose stare could kill, is one of those future AI gods, but with a rather traditional godlike vindictiveness. Everyone who knew it might exist, but did not help bring it into existence or indeed opposed it existing, gets resurrected into Digital Hell somewhere in the multiverse.
Concluding with a comparison of transhumanist belief to Gnostic Christianity's search for salvation through knowledge and rejection of the current world as miserable and false, Bruere explains a key difference between the emergent transhumanist belief system and Christianity. Namely, whereas other believers are prone to believe without evidence, transhumanists are far more prone to respond that "if it is not true (we) can (make it) so."

The Mont Order's latest evolution

The Blog


The Mont Order, once thought of as a group described only in urban legend, seeks to turn its newest iteration towards a more public and collective form.


The prototype of a new blog that may be collectively controlled by the Mont Order's associates is in the works, on the condition that it obtains some guarantee of participation. Simply titled The Mont Order, a version of the new website is already public via Blogger at lordredelamontagne.blogspot.co.uk. Meanwhile, a recruitment drive to bring a new wave of around fifty new advisers into the Order's lists is ongoing.
If sufficient approval is gained, the new blog may be elevated to be based at the domain name lordre.net (currently the Fox-owned L'Ordre blog of Harry J. Bentham), to serve as the Mont Order's first official website. However, there is also emphasis on a "distributed" form for the Mont Order's online presence.

Such a revision might serve to decrease any potential vulnerabilities such a catastrophic loss of data, hacking, takeover by an authoritarian personality, or other potential threats to the club's dissident purposes. In a post at the L'Ordre blog, the blog's own perceived centrality to the Mont Order is disavowed. Other blogs are encouraged to take up their own role as parts of the Mont Order's online presence or perceived infrastructure, deliberately breaking up the Mont Order's presence to extend its influence:
The similarity between this blog’s name, L’Ordre, and the name of the Mont Order, is purely a coincidence. I had no intention for this blog to be a central part of some kind of “infrastructure” of the Mont Order on the web. If we are to have any online infrastructure, it should be horizontal, distributed in form, with components at all members’ own blogs, social media accounts and websites. I believe control over the fate of this club should not be invested in an individual. The Wave Chronicle‘s own pages express this idea exactly, as Mike created a space dedicated to Mont Order resources at the Wave Chronicle. I am not asking for all our bloggers to make the same commitment (indeed it would look confusing if we all competed to offer the permier resources on the Mont Order), but to at least mention the Mont Order at members’ blogs is useful at contributing to our online infrastructure.

One idea advanced by a Mont Order adviser to secure this aim would consist of pinning badges and links at websites and blogs declaring their relationship with the Mont Order, much as other online solidarity networks like "Team Internet" have encouraged.

While much of the group's origins continue to be left a mystery shrouded in urban legend, the Mont Order's most recent form is "an exclusive elite club of writers and networks based in different countries who collaborate to broaden their influence".

The Mont Order club, which sports its own cultural image with allegations of mysterious religious origins and conspiracy theorist claims surrounding it, has made public comments.


At a live-streamed conference on Saturday, Mont advisors made a number of political calls to the public.



Originally intending to bring representatives of all nine public participants of the Mont Order together, the meeting saw participation between the following opinion-makers:

Wallerstein: #world-system self-destructing

Immanuel Wallerstein, possibly the world's most eminent sociologist, has designated the current global unemployment crisis as part of the self-destruction of the historical system that once defined our civilization.

From a commentary published at Wallerstein's website:
The world-system is self-destructing. The world-system is in what the scientists of complexity call a bifurcation. This means that the present system cannot survive, and that the real question is what will replace it. While we cannot predict what kind of new system will emerge, we can affect the choice between the substantive alternatives available. But we can only hope to do this by a realistic analysis of existing chaotic swings and not hide our political efforts behind delusions about reforming the existing system or by deliberate attempts to obfuscate our understanding.
Wallerstein refers to the world-system, a term coined by him in his theoretical works to refer to the world as a single integrated social system with a single historical lifespan. Much of Wallerstein's works, including his 1998 book Utopistics, have predicted the delegitimization and failure of the liberal democratic state and the underlying mechanisms of global stratification and exploitation that have made this type of regime viable.

Recognizing this failure of the current global system of politics and economics, many futurist theorists on the sidelines of politics have attempted to draw up alternatives. These theorists have included Jacque Fresco, who designed an alternative model of civilization under the title of the Venus Project, and M. Amon Twyman, whose theories urge the creation of a Virtual, Distributed, Parallel (VDP) state and the eventual replacement of all national authorities with global authorities modeled on the agencies of the United Nations.

Wallerstein also drew attention to the decline of the United States, arguing that the decline is now "precipitate" as America's failed attempts to reverse the trend with violence have only made the regime even weaker:

Geopolitical alliances are almost as unstable as the market. The United States has lost its unquestioned hegemony of the world-system and we have moved into a multipolar world. U.S. decline started not recently but in 1968. It was for a long time a slow decline, but it became precipitate after 2003 as a result of the disastrous attempt to reverse the decline by the invasion of Iraq. 
Our multipolar world has perhaps 10-12 powers strong enough to pursue relatively autonomous policies. However, ten to twelve is too large a number for any of them to be sure their views can prevail. As a result, these powers are constantly shuffling alliances in order not to be outmaneuvered by the others.
It is suggested here that the US's renewed hostility towards Russia indicates not a revival of US power in Europe but the collapsing status of the United States, as the decadent "superpower" surrenders to stronger regional forces.

The technological singularity means that labor is ceasing to depend on capital, and on wage employment by capital, for its material support. 
For over two centuries, as Immanuel Wallerstein observed, the system of capitalist production based on wage labor has depended on the ability to externalize many of its reproduction functions on the non-monetized informal and household economies, and on organic social institutions like the family which were outside the cash nexus. 
The rapid growth of technologies for home production, based on small-scale electrically powered machinery and new forms of intensive cultivation, has radically altered the comparative efficiencies of large- and small-scale production. This was pointed out by Borsodi almost eighty years ago, and the trend has continued since. The current explosion in low-cost manufacturing technology promises to shift competitive advantage in the next decade much more than in the entire previous century. 
If the coming singularity will enable the producing classes in the industrialized West to defect from the wage system, in the Third World it may enable them to skip that stage of development altogether. Gupta concluded "The Unplugged" with a hint about how the principle might be applied in the Third World: "We encourage the developing world to Unplug as the ultimate form of Leapfrogging: skip hypercapitalism and anarchocapitalism and democratic socialism entirely and jump directly to Unplugging."

Shock to the system: stateness in crisis

 Activists and bloggers who oppose the excesses of the state such as its domestic and international surveillance, the excesses of police brutality and murder in the United States, and unilateral military aggression, do not portray themselves as radicals. This is seen as necessary because openly opposing strongly held global norms and legal concepts to justify global change can be a little politically corrosive to oneself – “bad politics” as one antistatist once told me.

Personally, I have no problem with being seen as a radical or an antistatist, or even involved in “bad politics”. Even at my L’Ordre blog hosted on the mainstream Beliefnet website, I may seem vitriolic in my criticism of the behavior of many states and my rejection of all nationalist icons and affections. Comparable with the same approach taken by controversial protest groups such as FEMEN and Pussy Riot, I am of the view that people have to be shocked and shaken out of oppressive cultural norms in order to mitigate their divisive effects on the only true commonwealth in a globalized world – the commonwealth of humankind.

For the above reason, I often label myself as an antistatist, even though I deplore labels and don’t actually have the anarchist leanings that most self-labelled antistatists exhibit. Although I do my best to convince others to take the same stances as my own, I’m not forcing any views on anyone. My disregard for Her Majesty the Queen, the so-called Sovereign, is my own. I don’t expect others to automatically share it, nor do I fail to cooperate with the people who still hold the Queen to be a legitimate authority.

When I invited J. M. Porup to the Mont Order, a provocatively named and presented club believed by some to be a secret society, and which has no actual political or religious delineations, he let me know that he wasn’t an antistatist. I would argue that he already is, based on the sociology that informs most of my writing. To cut a long story short, I consider antistatism to be not necessarily a rejection of laws and state authority, but of “stateness”: a term I have found especially useful.

By stateness, I mean what can also be termed “police order”: coercion of the people, indiscriminate surveillance, espionage, assassination, torture, the arbitrary violence and cruelty of troops with sham legitimacy and no popular mandate, arbitrary arrests, et cetera. Such things ensue when a state fails to obtain legitimacy from the crowd, as has been demanded of every state since the dawn of political modernity from the blade of the French Revolution. Today, these symptoms of total regime illegitimacy and failing cohesion are growing rapidly in the industrialized world or “West”, but are most severe in the world’s so-called “greatest” country: the United States of America.

The only thing great about the United States is what will happen to it. As the two most transforming events in political history thus far have been the Sack of Rome and the French Revolution, it is inevitable the fall of the “world’s only superpower” will be the third.

I take my definition of stateness from American sociologist Immanuel Wallerstein, who is a strong influence on all my blogging. I wrote an analysis based on one of his longer futurist essays for Dissident Voice, which helped to crystallize my understanding that stateness – including the global political superstructure of the nation-states – is in crisis. We are faced with an abyss, and where we are now is as a tightrope over it. We can either retreat back into old-fashioned nationalistic ways of thinking, or humanity can overcome the nation-state once and for all, and courageously reach the other side. Humanity must transcend the Nineteenth Century nation-state.

As already stated here, the crisis of the interstate system and of stateness itself is witnessed in the declining legitimacy and social cohesion of states, helped along by the unstoppable circulation of people and ideas across flimsy, outdated borders in our technologically enhanced porous world. I break slightly from Wallerstein in my recognition of technology as important. It is the only reason many of us communicate and challenge mainstream narratives and prejudices at all. Without its proven power to reshape the political landscape, you wouldn’t be reading this essay.

A recognition of the centrality of technology in global social change has led me to share many of the aims of transhumanists and social futurists, so I contribute my own theses at their publications. In a way, our lobbying to transcend suffering and death itself through the benevolent use of science and technology cannot be separated from the noble objective to overcome sclerotic political norms such as the nation-state.

Quite simply, it isn’t consistent with the character of humankind to be satisfied with “nature” or “nation” and the limits these constructs place on human potential. It is incumbent on us to dream, to break free of all the narrow structures that have anchored us to this planet to endure so much ugliness, emaciation and conflict.

We must lend our ear to pioneers like Jacque Fresco, who brought us the idea of the post-scarcity Resource-Based Economy (RBE) and M. Amon Twyman, who theorized the Virtual Distributed Parallel (VDP) State. We must transcend these old-fashioned nation-states, if we are to transcend other troubling facets of our present existence. We might never banish our suffering and mortality via the modernities of technology and medicine, if we cannot also overcome scarcity and the division of humankind by this violent prison of nation-states.

For where can Rome fall if not in Rome?

Do the events in Ferguson signal the declining legitimacy, loss of social cohesion, and deterioration of the American nation-state and its institutions on its own territory?

Read the radical political analysis forecasting this gradual loss of legitimacy from the L'Ordre blog featured at the Fox-owned top global multi-faith website Beliefnet:
The unrest has drawn attention to the total illegitimacy of police and security forces in many parts of the United States: something the US government can only be expected to ignore and dismiss repeatedly in the decades to come, maybe until its back is to the wall and it can’t even enforce the personal safety of regime officials in their own homes. If the law repeatedly fails to coincide with the wishes of the people, the law is illegitimate and the people are not at fault. This might make me sound like a bloodthirsty Jacobin, and that’s exactly why it is a basic tenet of modern liberal democracy: liberal democracy is Jacobin. The United States cannot expect to be perceived as a liberal democracy, and yet refuse to be governed by the will of the people and insist on unpopular manifestations of law enforcement.

All regimes are illegitimate. I encourage everyone to undermine the regimes under which they live, and attempt to hold them to account. No regime should be above the judgment of the people, and regimes that pretend to rule by popular mandate are only all the more offensive to humanity than open dictatorships. American Foreign Policy Rogue Edition

I have been looking to do a new American foreign policy article for easily a year. Sadly, the US administration has made this impossible. Currently, I cannot figure out exactly what the American foreign policy game plan is, other than simply delving into conspiracy theory madness. I am not saying that the conspiracy theory madness is wrong, just that I do not plan at this time to address those items until I have more information.

This is the Rogue Edition,which mean, the policies below are in opposition to current US warmonger elite positions.

This is going to be addressed by the two main crisis regions:

Middle East:

  • Sabotage the Islamist organizations that the US and friends are currently supplying. Please watch the video below from Storm Clouds Gathering for more info:
  • Aid the Iran – Syria – Kurdish Factions.
  • It would be an unholy alliance, especially for the Kurds. Iran & Syria need the Kurds to hold the Saudi backed Islamists at bay. Without the Kurds, the entire region is going to become one giant Islamist region of hate and murde.
  • Iran needs to be provided with technology and intelligence. We need to build a future and the people of Iran want to be part of Western Society. I know our current administration and political mind think does not honor those words but we must build a world for the future and the people of Iran have a place in that future.
  • The civil war in Syria was never the business of the West. It needs to be abandoned and we need to make a turn around. You have no good guys in the region except the Kurds, ISIS and other US / Saudi based terrorist groups will only doom the future of that region.
  • Give Assad enough aid to take back a portion of his country. If necessary let the Russian Federation do it, at least it would not cost the American taxpayer any money.
  • Provide the bulk of the aid to the Kurds, give them weapons, personnel, technology and intelligence. It is time for a Kurdish State and I say make it happen with reckless abandon.
  • Once the American / Saudi Islamist terrorist groups have been wiped out, send in the Egyptians or Arab League into Syria to start the political process of peace in the territory that Assad and Non-Islamist forces hold. This process will not include the Kurds, they will have their own nation and will address their own territory concerns.
  • Aid moderates within Israel, Palestine and Lebanon. We do not need more war or weapons in this part of the region. We need independent social operations within each of these regions providing a message of peace and unity. We need to encourage more peace mongers in this region to come forward and lead these nations.
  • Aid the Egyptian military in the campaign of removing Islamists from their nation. The Egyptian people have a place in the future world and that needs to be cultivated going forward.

Russian Federation / Ukraine:

  • The Ukraine crisis has to be the greatest blunder to ever happen in American foreign policy history.
  • The warmonger elite make a decision to support National Socialist extremists in Ukraine, breaking a UN resolution. This decision causes the democratically elected Ukraine government to fall. This leads the Crimea region of Ukraine to defect and the Russian Federation takes that region without firing a gunshot.
  • The National Socialist thugs in Kiev decide to force their will on Novorossia, which leads to a bloody civil war. Which turns the southern portion of Ukraine into a war zone on women and children.
  • To add to this drama you have a Malaysian airliner shot down over the war zone.
  • To fix this epic blunder in Ukraine, it is time to get all US forces both public and private out of that nation. It is important to disengage from conflict either political ,militarily and economically with the Russian Federation.
  • This engagement with the Russian Federation has strengthened Vladimir Putin, who is riding an approval rating higher than god and even then, god may be a second class amateur.
  • The Russian people, who prior to this engagement hated being Russian and hated anything that was, is, or was going to be Russian, have changed utterly and completely. They love Mother Russia more today than Mother Russia ever did and this is all do to this engagement over the Ukraine.
  • The US Sanctions are a sick joke on everyone. The Russians are laughing at the sanctions and cannot wait for more of them. All these sanctions accomplish is to further strengthen the Putin base and force Russian funds that have been leaving that nation back home. These US policies only add to Putin’s strength.

It is important to reenact the Monroe Doctrine and take back South America. We have abandoned our own southern hemisphere in the quest for sand and oil. The BRIC Nations have a foothold in that area of the world and that is a direct threat to the future of the United States of America. It is important for the future of the United States to reclaim our own southern hemisphere, these people should be our allies and not our future enemies.

The Liquid Mind – Humanity Uploading

This is a top level article, you are not going to find a “how to” anywhere within this article. It is a way to start a discussion in moving thinking in a different direction.

The mentality of uploading a human brain to a mainframe and believing that this is mind uploading is a concept I simply do not believe in. Uploading in that manner is not improving humanity or saving humanity.  My goal is an attempt to move transhumanists and futurists into a different direction and hopefully in a direction that may actually work in Humanity Uploading which should be the real goal, it is not just saving the information within the human mind but also saving the special individual within that mind.

We need to move past old thinking and scifi movies. We need to be more realistic on all the inputs and outputs of the human brain. This image below is a map of the human mind from Buzzle.com Human Brain Diagram.


This is a very simplistic image of the brain which should help folks understand that a hard wired computer cannot handle all the inputs and outputs of the human mind. A number of people will point out that the human brain does send out electrical pulses but they forget the chemical reactions that happen to help to create those electrical pulses and it is those chemicals that we need to duplicate so we can achieve the real goal of Humanity Uploading.

We need to focus on how we can incorporate or mimic chemicals within the human mind. The information I am going to be covering is from the following website: Humanillnesses.com Brain Chemistry

What we need to find is a computerized neurotransmifter that lets computerized brain cells communicate with each other and therefore allows the computerized brain to function properly. The reason why I listed the humanillnesses.com website and article is that we will have the same issues that human beings have, if we are able to succeed in Human Uploading. You cannot ignore the fact that humans have mental disorders and those disorders are not going to go away in a computerized form. To succeed in Human Uploading we must be able to manage all of the inputs and outputs to prevent the computerized mind from going insane or becoming out of balance.


I believe the only way to successfully perform Humanity Uploading is a move to liquid computing. The concept of liquid computing has existed for at least a decade if not more. When I was doing my research for this article, the oldest article that I found was from Harvard Magazine circa 2001.
The next item I came across is labeled liquid computing but is more liquid cooling, from Inventor Spot Liquid Computing circa 2005.

The next article that I came across is from BBC News IBM Brain Chips circa 2011. The overall goal stated in the article is:
The system is capable of “rewiring” its connections as it encounters new information, similar to the way biological synapses work. Researchers believe that by replicating that feature, the technology could start to learn. Cognitive computers may eventually be used for understanding human behaviour as well as environmental monitoring.

The last article I found is again from  BBC News IBM Unveils Computer Fed By Electronic Blood. This is computing going in the right direction.

One of the main quotes from the article that I like is:

The human brain packs phenomenal computing power into a tiny space and uses only 20 watts of energy – an efficiency IBM is keen to match.

A liquid computer is a perfectly good solution to Humanity Uploading.

Introduction To The Wave Chronicle

The Wave Chronicle site has grown to become more than I could have hoped. We openly work with anyone, who in turn, is willing to work with us. It does not matter what group you are a part of or your beliefs. The Wave Chronicle’s goal is to bring positive change and we are willing to listen to anyone, who in turn is willing to listen to us.

The Wave Chronicle will always tackle subjects that are controversial. We look to inspire debate, communication, and thought. Our site is not meant to be, “warm and fuzzy”. We will cover subjects that will piss people off, but we hope that will bring a new thought to the discussion, to influence more learning and more understanding.

We will also cover political issues. You cannot hope a new future into being. Many have tried and all of them have failed. You want a better future, you want to bring advancement to humanity, you need to work for it.

The Wave Chronicle covers many different topics that are broken out into sections.


The Future Is Now has articles related to futurist and transhumanism. We have had a number of top articles in this section: Eugenics and Transhumanism by Dirk Bruere has been extremely popular. The Liquid Mind – Humanity Uploading is a great starter article on the topic of liquid computing. Last but not least is Gennady Stolyarov II book Death is Wrong and effort to get that book into the hands to as many people as possible.

A Better World Today has articles related to activism and politics. We have had a number of hit articles find it’s way of of this section. The American Foreign Policy For Dummies and The American Foreign Policy For Dummies The Ukraine – Russia Edition have been extremely popular. Being Left Behind – The American Experience is another fantastic and popular article. The next two articles Four Horsemen Documentary from Renegade Economist and The Last Hours – The 6th Extinction are highly recommended documentaries to watch.

Climatology Today has articles related to earth and space weather. Our main contributor to this section is Ben Davidson from Suspicious 0bservers. Suspicious 0bservers has daily morning videos that list earth and space weather every single day, Our mega hit article Recent Breakthroughs Reveal Startling Possibility: Water is Everywhere, provides beginning information regarding the principle that water is everywhere within the galaxies and what that means for each and everyone of us and the concept of life outside of our planet. The C(lie)mate series from Suspicious 0bservers has fantastic content as well.

Aware of Awareness has articles related to philosophy. Our goal with this category is to provide some positive reinforcement. We strive for something positive, within the world and within people. My top selection is Creativity in Life – Joe Rogan and The Dream of Life – Alan Watts – Tragedy and Hope.

A Better Learning System Today has articles related to education reform and general education material. The main articles that have been a wild hit come from the Hybrid Librarian, is Science’s 20 Most Unbelievable Truths and Science’s 10 Greatest Unsolved Mysteries. Modernizing the Education System by Pratoriate Monk of the Foundation is a fantastic article listing some solid educational reforms.

Technology Today has articles related to technology, I bet no one could have figured out that. We use this section to list new, hot, and or the latest in technology from any sector. This section of the website is usually a bit of a sleeper but we have had a few hits. Tesla Coil & Laser Beams – BBC Worldwide and DIY Solar Electricity – The True Costs by Dirk Bruere are top contenders in this group.

We have a few cool options listed on the Wave Chronicle that I am going to cover.


The Wave Chronicle has an option for anyone to submit an article. You can simply post your article by clicking on the following link and completing the page information. What will happen next after you send the information to us, the article will list to the editors as a draft article and we can easily finish editing the article and then with one simple click the article is posted to the website, our FB Page, and Twitter Page. It is an extremely painless process that our guest authors have come to love.

We also have a Windows App in beta testing and is being worked on by David Kelly. The application will have content from the Wave Chronicle and other sites. It is a nice application and hopefully soon it will be fully functioning but as of today we do not have a date as to when the product will be out of beta.

Last but not least, the Wave Chronicle site can be viewed just as well on your smart phone as it can be from your home computer or laptop. The Wave Chronicle uses a wonderful responsive theme from MHthemes, who have been a pleasure to work with. I highly recommended their services.

In closing, I do not want people to be afraid to leave comments, post articles, or share our content. All people are important and all voices need to be heard. So stand up and be vocal, look to do more, look to be part of a solution.
