West-Islam dialogue on values needed

A dialogue on values between the west and Islam is needed as an alternative to the "clash of civilizations" and "imposition of western culture by force" on Muslims and others.


This is the advice given by Sonia Mansour Robaey at her own blog Les Politiques as well as at the publication Iran's View.

From the author's conclusions:
As I wrote in the aftermath of the Charlie Hebdo tragedy, a dialogue on values is urgently needed to silence the voices of confrontation.  The clash of civilizations is an idea as backward as the barbaric terrorism it sets out to explain... and fight... by curtailing our civil liberties and creating an artificial wedge between civilizations destined to increase their common ground in an era of rapid communications where societies are becoming more open and more welcoming. 
The promoters of the clash of civilizations are the new enemies of the Open Society.
Open society can mean different things. In its use in Robaey's analysis, it seems to refer to social globalization creating the borderless world, whereas in its original pre-globalization usage by Karl Popper it referred to the liberal democratic state model that only exists in western countries.

 Les Politiques was recently added to the blog listings of the Mont Order society. The Mont Order has itself managed to host an element of dialogue on values between the Muslim and western blogospheres by inviting the Pakistan-based Voice of East magazine to add views to online conferences otherwise only seating western bloggers.

Google likes Alex Jones?

Google's continued failure to allow ad revenue to some alternative media channels such as Representative Press has caused financial hardship for them and even prompted some commentators to stop using this source of income altogether.


A small online petition continues to try to attract signatures to ask Google to restore that advertising revenue. Although it has been signed by a handful of writers and activists from the Mont Order, as well as a small section of the Representative Press audience, the petition at Change.org has so far only enjoyed a small amount of publicity in the two months it has existed.

According to a recent Representative Press video, Google has in no way severed the advertising revenue coming to Alex Jones' "InfoWars" channel, despite this channel promoting apparently radical views and addressing supposedly sensitive information. The claim is made in the embedded video below.

Alex Jones is known for his conspiracy theories and anti-transhumanist beliefs. His anti-intellectual ideology is based on Daniel Estulin's confused research. The central belief is that scientists, states and NGOs have conspired to sedate and sterilize the global population to prevent it from expanding. According to them, global warming is also a lie invented for this conspiracy.



Meanwhile, the StormCloudsGathering channel has altogether given up on advertising revenue, deactivating all monetization features on their videos.

Jurors in US are racially biased, govt-led

The use of juries in trials is obviously intended to ensure a trial by one's peers, or by a fair representation of one's country. But what if the jurors are overwhelmingly white, in the trial of a Black man?


Center for a Stateless Society (C4SS) think tank commentator Roderick Long slammed the use of jurors selected by government-appointed prosecutors as a way of ensuring biases and unfair trials rather than preventing them.

In a society as heterogeneous as the US, there is a constant risk of interference from racist prejudices in any search for justice. As Long emphasizes, "the government’s practice in many southern jurisdictions of excluding blacks from juries is especially troubling, and raises questions about the practice of peremptory challenge itself", when one considers how Black people have consistently been disproportionately targeted by US law enforcement.

Referencing the ideas of US abolitionist Lysander Spooner, Roderick Long advocates in his 22 October post that the solution is an autonomous legal system in the US, independent of the influence and control of government-appointed prosecutors. Trial by one's peers should be maintained as a function of civil society, therefore, instead of the state.

Further emphasis is placed on making juries perhaps more representative of the larger society, including representing views and ethnicities that government may not have been comfortable with.

An example of such reform may be to appoint jurors who hold an unfavorable view of law enforcers or who do not recognize the US regime's authority (who may in fact account for the majority of Americans). A further reform may be to ensure that the proportion of Black people appointed on any jury must be roughly analogous to their proportion in the state or neighborhood in question.

Mont slams Ukrainian war criminals

The worldwide Mont Order dissident club has declared the embattled regime in Ukraine, which has been created by so-called "democracies" in Europe and North America, to be illegitimate and deserving massive condemnation.


In a statement published on Sunday, 6 September, the members of the Mont Order Security Council unanimously expressed their condemnation of the illegally installed regime ruling from Kiev. Accusing the regime of "numerous war crimes inside Ukraine, including massacres of civilians in Odessa Oblast and Donetsk Oblast", the Order was overwhelming in its disgust at this "so-called state" and advised its members and global civil society to stand up to its terrorism.

From the Mont Order statement, which can be read in full at the Mont Order society's official blog:
The Mont Order considers that this is an illegitimate regime, and that it has not been sufficiently condemned in the international community and by civil society for its fascist associations and its crimes against humanity. As a civil society body, the Mont Order believes that an avalanche of criticism of this criminal regime using all the tools of the Internet is necessary. The Order considers that anyone who supports the current Ukrainian regime in or outside of the conflict zone should be given the treatment of a Nazi collaborator and any state providing funding or arms to Ukraine is a state sponsor of terrorism.
The Mont Order, which takes its name from a more mysterious group depicted in urban legend, sees itself as a latent civil society body. Led by its Security Council formed earlier in 2015, it has been gaining strength through the use of Mont dark web locations and Mont social media campaigns to expand its influence and capabilities as a pressure group. This has already resulted in numerous publications, journalists and movements being aligned with the Order.

US-corporate global dispossession

Kevin Carson, antistatist writer at the Center for a Stateless Society, pointed out in a post that the US government has not only supported the dispossession of indigenous peoples in its history but continues to do so in current events.


The US, whose colonial state was founded on the dispossession of Native Americans whose land it stole, is still involved in dispossessing indigenous people to this day. Accusing western civil society entities like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation of involvement in the same practice, Carson wrote:
some 130 million hectares of land (or 500,000 square miles) in the developing world has been bought by foreign investors over the past fifteen years, most of it to produce cash crops for export and a great deal of it involving the dispossession of people previously cultivating it to feed themselves. For example, the Prosavala land grab in Mozambique will evict 500,000 people.
The post concluded that these works, often labelled as a "model investment project", rely on a state enforcing the will of corporations, and that the best solution would be to "smash the state, and with it the parasitic capitalists it serves".
