US ignores human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir

The Blog

The United States sacrifices its alleged concern for human rights so it can be allied with India, writes the head of a pro-Kashmiri pressure group.

Although propagating its hollow talk of democracy, freedom and human rights, the Obama administration has constantly refused to acknowledge any type of struggle for these values in Kashmir.

Secretary General of World Kashmir Awareness Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai wrote, as printed in Voice of East magazine on 2 September 2016, of the cynical and limited approach taken by Western media towards Kashmir:
The  massive pain and indignities that Kashmiris suffer are only significant when they reach a pitch that the mainstream press starts noticing, as the New York Times did recently,  and realize[d] it can capitalize on viewing audience because of the violence and mayhem.
Ignorance towards the violence, injustice, and suppression of popular sovereignty in Kashmir is an indictment of both the United States and the United Nations, who refuse to condemn India, Fai believes.

Clinton campaign nuked by WikiLeaks

The Blog

Despite much of the political left deciding to endorse Hillary Clinton amidst exaggerated campaign rhetoric against Donald Trump, WikiLeaks hasn't held back from striking out at Clinton.

In June, WikiLeaks editor and political prisoner Julian Assange promised "enough evidence to indict" Clinton, relating to her emails.

This has been followed by WikiLeaks releasing emails to and from Clinton related to the situation in Iraq. Clinton voted in favor of the Iraq War in 2003, as well as being in favor of other military interventions. She was the main criminal responsible for the disastrous NATO aggression in Libya, which plunged the country in chaos and murder and was later described by Obama as the worst mistake of his career.

During her time as Secretary of State, Clinton also was largely responsible for decisions to escalate the conflict in Syria by illegally smuggling weapons into the conflict zone. This, she wrote in an email, was necessary to help the Israeli regime maintain security during its policies of genocide, apartheid and expansion.

Clinton continues to favor direct US military strikes on Syrian government targets, despite them being protected by Russian military forces and being the main ground opponents of ISIS.

Criminal tries to become US President

The Blog

In an obvious attempt to prop up war criminal sadist Hillary Clinton's disgraceful campaign to become US President, the US State Department seeks to delay disclosure of documents related to her conduct as Secretary of State.

Hillary Clinton used a private email address during her reign as Secretary of State - a reign that saw her deep personal involvement in US interference and war crimes in both Libya and Syria. Not soon before, she had been a big fan of the US invasion of Iraq, never shy of sacrificing American soldiers on the altar of stupid idols and lies.

The use of a private email address alone was sufficient grounds for a public servant to be sacked and permanently barred from office, yet the criminal was allowed to campaign to be President. The criminal remains the only major candidate to have ever been under investigation by hundreds of FBI officers while continuing to campaign for leadership of a nation.

Also during Hillary Clinton's role as top US diplomat, US embassy staff stationed at Benghazi, Libya, were left defenseless, attacked and assassinated.

Overall, commentators recognize Clinton's role in Libya from start to finish to be a disaster. The war itself was a mistake. US President Barack Obama has admitted the US-led intervention in Libya - in which Clinton helped to kill thousands of women and children to ensure a divided and broken regime would replace ousted dictator Gaddafi - was the greatest mistake he made. Clinton went on to start a failed revolution in Syria similar to the civil war in Libya, with the goal of killing an anti-US leader.

Clinton's grand vision for her future as President consists of civil wars, assassinations, dead soldiers, a nuclear contest with Russia, and a strong stance against victims of pedophilia.

The US government has requested a 27 month delay in the release of emails related to Clinton's crimes and negligence, to keep voters from being able to see the extent of her deranged behavior and the danger it presents to the American people. Another government excuse even claimed "it could take at least 75 years to compile emails from a handful of Clinton’s aides" as reported at TheHill.

US neocons demand aggression on Syria

The Blog

High-ranking neocons and other war criminals within the US regime have demanded a new US bombing campaign, this time directly against Syrian and Russian forces based in Syria.

Apparently showing no grasp of the costs of war with Russia, extremists working in the US State Department tried to lie that a US attack against Syrian and Russian forces advancing rapidly against ISIS is actually the "only way to defeat ISIS".

A still classified memo explaining the extremists' logic for starting a war with Syria and Russia might have offered more insights into how desperate, confused and divided the American regime has become. If not classified, the memo would also have helped demonstrate the pace at which the US regime's forces are being defeated and proving inadequate for the regime's once-high ambitions of dominating the world by force.

Although the demands of these world war-inciting extremists are likely to be ignored by the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton shares their unhinged and unrealistic view of war with Syria and Russia. Continuing to call for a "no-fly zone", the term she used for her earlier war crimes in Libya, bloodthirsty Clinton thinks Russian special forces, warplanes and missiles will fail to stop her killing more people after her coronation in a hollow election.

WikiLeaks hinted over Twitter that the State Department is likely to fully support Clinton's war aims in Syria if she becomes President. The Pentagon is likely to have a more accurate view of what may happen if US forces try to attack Russian personnel.

"Obama should celebrate" US atrocities

The Blog

While President Obama's planned Japan visit was reported, C4SS writer Kevin Carson wrote to remind us the US atomic bombing of Hiroshima in 1945 was nothing but a act of murder directed intentionally at civilians.

Carson's article counters an earlier article, relating to a prospective visit by President Obama to Japan. Writing on 14 May, the Boston Globe's Jeff Jacoby had suggested Obama should actually tell the Japanese people he is glad about the nuclear bombing of their people as it allowed Japan to be "free" and enjoy "friendship" with the United States.

While the 1945 nuclear terrorism against Japanese civilians is praised by Jacoby for transforming Japan into what the US sees as a puppet state at only the cost of immolated women and children, Carson provides a rather different picture for you to consider. Rejecting Jacoby's view that other intensive bombing attacks on civilians in different countries were also justified to end the war, Carson writes that all "Attempts to terrorize a country into surrender through wholesale murder of its civilian population [are] a crime against humanity — no exceptions."

Carson's article concludes that the US decision to destroy cities was an act of utter barbarity, and finds little parallel anywhere except in primitive genocides committed thousands of years ago:
In fact, there’s no moral difference between Truman’s order of the massacre of the civilian population of two cities amounting to hundreds of thousands of people, and the massacres of civilian populations with which the Assyrians similarly terrorized enemies into surrendering over two thousand years ago.
Deliberately killing civilians is murder. It’s that simple.
As of this post's creation, Obama is not expected to either apologize for or seek to justify the US regime's extensive and horrific war crimes from 1945 to present when he visits the Hiroshima Peace Memorial.

US, NATO scared by Brexit referendum

The Blog

Britain's withdrawal from the European Union (Brexit) would undermine the military goals of the American regime in Europe, Britain's Foreign Affairs Committee admits in a report.

Meanwhile, Britain's own capability to defend itself would be left unaffected by withdrawing from the European Union. The insolent United States would try to ignore Britain, bypassing London to try and control European governments directly - in its continuing hopes to use them as human shields in confrontations with Russia or other states.

The following vital points in the 26 April report "Implications of the referendum on EU membership for the UK's role in the world" were admitted, and deserve attention when it comes to assessing Britain's future relations with the American regime if Britain leaves the EU:
"Since EU defence co-operation remains intergovernmental, withdrawal from the EU should arguably have a relatively minor impact on the UK’s long-term defensive posture and capabilities...
"UK withdrawal from the EU would eventually result in a “diminution of Britain’s influence on both sides of the Atlantic...
"President Obama and his Administration have made it clear that they would prefer the UK to remain inside the EU, where it is generally seen to promote Atlanticist policies (such as TTIP, which the UK has championed in part to bolster the political relationship between the US and EU)...
"outcomes contain risks for the NATO... With the US increasingly looking to its European partners to shoulder more of the burden for their own defence, a weak and divided EU might unsettle the NATO alliance...
"the EU could become more coherent and unified, but—in the absence of the UK—might do so in ways that threaten to decouple it from NATO, damaging the integrity of the transatlantic alliance."
The report omits the fact that Britain would be safer without having strong ties with the extremist regime in Washington, puppet governments in Europe, and the wars they are waging to support the US government and military's vanity. In particular since the 9/11 attacks, the American regime has conflated its own security with its NATO allies and used them as cannon fodder in Afghanistan, relying on the "alliance" to sacrifice the British people without their consent.

Meanwhile, the British Tory government has continued to celebrate its loyalty to Washington, as can be seen from former Foreign Secretary William Hague's belief that there must always be a "pro-American regime" in London and his recent remarks defending President Obama's right to meddle in UK politics.

While the government report uses a negative tone in its view of the "transatlantic alliance" failing, such failure would bring joy to most of the world's population, who have been stomped on and oppressed for years by western forces and live in fear of the west's increasing weapons of mass destruction. As such, people wanting to reduce the US regime's aggression will likely be voting to leave the EU.

Obama's "dark money" executive order

The Blog

Today, this blog takes a break from its normal severe criticism of the Obama administration.

For anyone on the side of transparency like our blog, Obama's possible "No Secret Money Executive Order", as Demand Progress termed it after studying a New York Times article on the subject, is an absolute must-support.

If applied (and it is likely that Obama will allow it to stumble in Congress where it will be blocked by the very same vultures it was designed to expose) the executive order will force large corporate contractors hired by the Federal government to publish a list of their campaign gifts. As Demand Progress activists wrote, "This executive order would force them to choose: Disclose your donations, or give up those sweet federal contracts."

Absurd reasoning has already been offered against transparency in other aspects of government policy in the past, and the GOP clearly still excels in such nonsense, but here is a new gem to be recorded by us. From the NYT article:
"The real goal of the disclosure proponents is to harass, intimidate and silence those with whom they disagree,” said Blair Latoff Holmes, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “We continue to believe that one’s political activities should play no role in whether or not you get or keep a federal contract, and we encourage the administration to leave this bad idea right where it is."
What do you think? Do you agree with Demand Progress that making corporations publish the truth about their campaign donations is the right thing to do, or with the Chamber of Commerce that it is a type of harassment and intimidation against lovely liars if the public knows who is paying them?

Obama rants 'US is not in decline!'

The Blog

US President Obama used his recent State of the Union Address to make laughable errors, issue arrogant judgments, and offend the international community.

Obama described the theory of the US economic and strategic decline - something that Britain, the European Union, most of Asia and South America, and many leading Western economists accept to be a fact - as "hot air" from political enemies.

In addition to this, Obama made rabid proclamations that the US regime is better than everyone else because it has stronger armies:
The United States of America is the most powerful nation on Earth, period! Period!... We spend more on our military than the next eight nations combined... Our troops are the finest fighting force in the history of the world... No nation attacks us directly or our allies because they know that’s the path to ruin... people of the world do not look to Beijing or Moscow to lead.
Would you believe someone who keeps saying "period"? If Obama is so sure of these statements about his country's superiority, it is strange that he feels the need to shout them out loud like Hitler. The level of contempt shown in Obama's arrogant Bush-like speech towards other countries is astonishing and should be offensive to all foreigners, not just Russian and Chinese people, who are especially degraded and cited as enemies in the speech.

To quote one character in an Isaac Asimov novel, "violence is the last refuge of the incompetent". Everything in Obama's speech was about violence, and how America's violence is the most powerful. He wants to scare you.

Obama even made flat-out wrong and stupid statements in his speech, saying "Russia is pouring resources in to prop up Ukraine". Russia is still propping up Ukraine? Obama seems to have forgotten Ukraine's government was overthrown by the US two years ago, and now the failing Ukrainian government is being propped up him.

By bragging to the whole world that his country is better than others, Obama is not only sending a signal to Russia and China that his regime is unstable and possibly delusional, but is sending a deeply negative signal to NATO allies that the US looks down on them and they are inferior.

Why are the neocons pathological liars?

The Blog

A UK blogger explained in October why the neoconservatives (neocons) are liars.

It's because they follow a political philosophy that overtly justifies a clique of liars and manipulators as the ideal form of government.

Straussian political philosophy, modeled on the ideas of Leo Strauss, is the basis of the ideology responsible for neocon extremism. It is this philosophy that has told them to perpetrate the greatest greatest crimes in the Twenty-First Century, including blackmail, support of genocide, and terrorist massacres against foreign states they deem "inferior" to the so-called West.

The wars of aggression that the US has been starting were based on lies. These include most notably the 2003 Iraq War. Of this war, UK blogger Sophie Stephenson wrote in her blog as follows:
When Bush and Blair invaded and destroyed Iraq, the war was sold to the public as a preventative measure to eliminate Saddam Hussein’s (non-existent) stockpile of weapons of mass destruction, because of the dictator’s (non-existent) ties to al-Qaeda, and – perhaps most insulting of all – to liberate the Iraqi people.
Of the supposedly different foreign policy of the regime since Obama was nodded into office, she wrote:
(Obama) has in reality gone further than ever before to establish American hegemony, covertly using religion as a tool to achieve this.
By this, Stephenson refers to US support for terrorists against secular governments in Libya and Syria in order to replace order and stability with chaos, so as to shrink any organized "threat" to America.

The current sectarian conflict in Iraq and Syria is not the accident of US-led regime change as portrayed in the media. Rather, it is a deliberate plan by the American regime to replace stable and unified enemy states with disintegration into a Stone Age tribal civilization like so-called "Islamic State" (ISIL) that can easily be kicked around and bombed by the US and Israel without consequence.

Stephenson explains that such anarchy and weakness "was the desired outcome for the American elite. A unified, secular country may lead to aspirations which do not conform with US interests (meaning those of Wall Street and the energy sector); religious fanaticism is preferable to nationalism."

The neocons as described by Stephenson are no less than genocidal planters who bomb any sign of development in foreign countries so they will not threaten the "superior" West. Their conquest is about halting historic progress, reversing any political unity among oppressed people, and replacing it with reaction and division.

Zionist Israel, Stephenson says, is also a focal point for such a vision of conquest by divide and rule. Throughout the expansion of so-called ISIL, the group has posed no threat to Israel, while Israel and other major Western allies such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia continue to attack and undermine the same forces trying to stop ISIL such as the Syrian government. ISIL itself has threatened all of Israel's enemies, from Iran to Hamas, and not attacked Israel despite attacking everyone else. Due to this, many opponents of the Zionist regime believe it is at least benefiting from the crimes of the ISIL group.

It is likely that neocons will continue to pressure states in the West to commit more crimes against humanity, despite these crimes being already exposed and condemned globally. Including during the Iraq War of 2003, millions of people have consistently taken to the streets around the world to condemn neocon crimes.

Despite opposition to them and the ongoing Iraq Inquiry in the UK, neocon mass murderers and extremists such as Dick Cheney and Tony Blair continue to be presented as normal or even respectable people at several media outlets and asked for their opinions. None of the war criminals have been executed.

Obama to fail on Gtmo closure promise

The Blog

Writing at Examiner.com, human rights expert and Mont society member Deborah Dupre criticized US President Barack Obama's weakness on his former promise to close the Guantanamo Bay torture camp still maintained by the US regime.

In a short report, Dupre said Obama's existing rationale for blocking the insidious National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) was "short of what constitutional and human rights defenders view appropriate". From the report:
Obama's stated rationale... neglects constitutional and human rights issues. It was about funding "national security" and economics. In what constituted treason and flagrant breach of human rights, according to rights groups, the NDAA stripped Americans of their constitutional rights like no other legal document in history...
Following Obama's veto against the legislation, critics claimed that Obama needs to do more than simply prevent more excessive national security legislation. The Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) claimed "lawmakers’ attempts to keep Guantánamo open for partisan political gain are no excuse for President Obama’s failure to close the prison". In sum, Obama should fulfill his promise to actually close the camp, and not try to merely battle those trying to make America's national security state even more pervasive and dangerous.

Dupre claims that Obama is unable to pressure the political will to close Guantanamo Bay. Further, she adds, "If he doesn’t take bold steps now, he will fail to close Guantánamo", tainting his legacy as the US President.

Will Russia eviscerate Obama in Syria?

The Blog

Political op-ed writer Mike Whitney believes Russia is going to throw itself into the path of any future attempt by the US and its allies to remove President al-Assad from power in Syria.

The US can't figure out what the Russians' intentions in Syria are, and are hoping that US military escalation of the air war over Syria from Incirlik Air Base in Turkey will result in the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's government, Whitney theorizes. At the same time, the Russians may be increasing their presence in the country, strengthening lines of supply to Assad, and setting up extremely advanced new air defenses in the besieged country.

A 14 September Reuters report on Russia positioning T-90 tanks at a strategic airfield in Syria accompanies similar sensational reports of Russian fighter jets landing at Syrian airfields, Russia's latest air defenses being deployed in the country to deter US aggression, and the latest Russian armored personnel carriers being handed over to the Syrian Arab Army. Videos already exist of the Syrian Army operating fully upgraded T-90 tanks, which (until the Armata platform was unveiled in 2015) were Russia's most advanced battle tanks.

Sensing a growing barrier to their attempts to remove Assad from power, Washington has groveled before Moscow by restoring the same military talks that it had earlier closed over Russia's alleged role in the Ukraine crisis. With sanctions already on Moscow over other issues such as the Ukraine War and Russia's support of US dissident Edward Snowden, the US regime has no diplomatic or economic options to persuade Russia to disengage from Damascus or change course. Refusal to cooperate with Russia has severely inhibited the aggressive US regime's attempts to interfere in Syria and increased the incentives for Russia to sabotage and block US policy in the country.

A weak attempt was made to close off European airspace to Russian transports heading to Syria, but Russia quickly found routes around the areas and drastically increased its cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran to support Syria. Evidence seems to suggest an imminent new round of confrontation between the West and Russia like the Ukraine crisis, this time over Syria, with the West again acting as a blatant aggressor trying to redraw the map of the world with military force.

Writing at Counterpunch, Whitney offered the conclusion that the US may succeed in weakening Syria and creating areas that remain under terrorist control, but that Russia will inhibit any effort to remove Assad from power. Meanwhile, the US war machine cannot be turned off. It is likely that the US regime's despotic leaders will continue hurtling towards a confrontation in Syria until they suffer severe military losses and further political and diplomatic defeats at the hands of Putin.

US President Barack Obama's fate in Syria, Whitney concludes, is in the hands of Vladimir Putin. If we consider how hostile and threatening the US has become to Russia, Obama will be eviscerated. According to Business Insider, Obama's "rebel" army in Syria, created to rule Syria after Assad, now only consists of four men. One White House official tried to distance the President from the defeat, shifting the blame by implying that Senator John McCain is to blame for recommending the failed strategy.

Terror against US regime is a reprisal

The Blog

What the media try to describe as unprovoked terrorist attacks against Americans are actually reprisals against a barbaric and warlike US regime that has left a trail of death and destruction across the world. The US is the world's most dangerous terrorist state, massacring civilians on a daily basis, and pretends to be shocked that anyone would try to retaliate.

This was the tone of antistatist writer Chad Nelson, writing recently at the Center for a Stateless Society (C4SS) market anarchist think tank based in the US. Highlighting the secrecy under which President Obama's drone wars thrive in order to protect his sensitive image as a dove rather than a hawk, Nelson offered the following commentary on how Americans are tricked about why they are targeted by terrorists:
When retaliation for these actions arrives at our shores or against Americans abroad, as it inevitably does, the American public is shocked and appalled, wondering what could possibly prompt such heinous actions. Hungry for answers, Americans are then fed simple explanations by politicians, such as, “they hate our way of life,” or “their religion commands them to commit such acts.” Never are we provided the context in which such reprisals occur.
Americans go on to tolerate a monstrous, intrusive police state which invades their own lives supposedly to hunt down the militants who are only reacting to the same undemocratic regime's aggression around the world. Americans are subjected to 24/7 surveillance and the bulk collection of all their correspondence, and have no guarantees that they too won't be arbitrarily detained or assassinated by their criminal regime in Washington without trial.

In Afghanistan, the US-led NATO aggression has reached its most sordid and illegitimate scale, with children confined to home and unable to go to school for fear of being hit by Obama's criminal drone attacks. As a result of this, the remote-controlled aggression goes beyond merely creating resentment among the people affected by them, but can even inflame regional or global resentment of the United States for its endless aggression.

Obama will never be remembered as a man of peace, Nelson argues, because he has escalated his drone program to a scale ten times greater than George W. Bush. It is worth noting that none of the current leading candidates for the 2016 Presidential election in the US opposes drone strikes, and even Bernie Sanders has called merely for the strikes to be conducted with more caution, despite their record of failure.

L'Ordre blog mocks US defeats in Syria

The Blog

The L'Ordre blog based at Beliefnet had the following commentary on the US's defeats and failure to train "rebels" in the Syrian Civil War.

Al-Nusra accused the US-backed rebels of trying to spread American influence and plotting against the other rebel groups. They were right. The other Syrian rebel factions are not as stupid as the American planners assumed. They know that the US-trained rebels are only in Syria to spread American influence, and will immediately hunt and kill them for this simple reason. The American-backed rebels will never get past their own Syrian rebel allies to begin attacking ISIL or Assad’s forces. The rampant paranoia that the CIA and US Military’s openly declared training program will cause among the already fratricidal and paranoid rebels will only cause them to kill each other at an even greater rate, increasing the likelihood that the war will end in defeat for the rebels.
One wonders how the US government could make such an obvious error. It is hard to believe that they are really this stupid. One possibility is that Barack Obama is aware that the program to support Syrian rebels will fail, but that he is doing it anyway just to satisfy war-hawks like John McCain, who continues to promote senile delusions of toppling the Syrian (and even the Russian) government with American-made guns blazing.

The US trained less than 60 Syrian rebel fighters at a cost of around 250 million dollars. These fighters were intended to fight ISIL and the Assad regime. However, they were killed or captured and the rest of them soon begged the United States to stop bombing the al-Qaeda linked militants, denouncing the mission that the US had given them to fight against jihadist terrorists. Despite this, the United States intends to continue the failed training program at a further cost of nearly billions of dollars.

Schoolboy lectures Americans on Iran

The Blog

Netanyahu has been publicly humiliated by the nuclear deal with Iran, but uses his airtime to further air his stupidity to the American audience.

Writing at Counterpunch, Andrew Levine notes that in Netanyahu's recent interview with with NPR, he milked his "American High School education for all it’s worth". In the radio interview, the Israeli leader "jabbered on like a befuddled High School principal telling the assembled student body how disappointed he was in them for some incident or other — and admonishing them never to do anything so dastardly again".

Netanyahu did all he could to scuttle the deal with Iran, and all his efforts failed. By going on an all-out assault on the Obama administration, Netanyahu and the Israel lobby group AIPAC risk losing the Democratic Party and losing the support of "all but the most retrograde American Jews."

Levine writes that Netanyahu's crusade against Obama is an "existential threat" to the prosperity of Israel by undermining the bond of political and economic cover that Israel has relied upon in order to maintain its policies of rampant genocide and war against Palestine. Further, Levine predicts, "if word gets out that Israel’s interests and America’s are at odds, even evangelicals awaiting the End Time will become less passionate about the self-declared “nation state of the Jewish people.”"

Noting that Netanyahu arrogantly overestimated the power of pro-Israel campaigners in American politics when trying to scuttle the deal, Levine sees that "the joke is on (Netanyahu)", and concludes about the Israeli leader:
the Israel lobby now has very little to work with beyond itself. And even if it putters on for a while, as it probably will given how obtuse American politicians are, the days when it can count on getting its way are coming to an end.
Netanyahu has hastened that day. No wonder, therefore, that even if he does not yet have reason to despair for the regime he leads, he has every reason to despair of himself.
This was the real meaning of that petulant, self-righteous rant on NPR

Obama doesn't stand up for trans people

The Blog

Despite the Obama administration championing the cause of LGBT rights, the administration's record in this area is far from perfect.

As illustrated in an article by Cory Massimino for the Center for a Stateless Society (C4SS), the Obama administration continues to preside over the abuse of transgender detainees. This was recently pointed out to Obama by a heckler, transsexual immigrant Jennicet Gutierrez, during a White House Gay Pride speech.

Massimino points out that Gutierrez was ignorantly booed and shamed by other LGBT activists and members of the White House's crowd during the event, illustrating the emptiness of Obama's words during his speech "And then there's the kind of courage it takes to be true to yourself even if society doesn't always accept or understand you."

Much of Massimino's analysis addressed the mainstream media and the government's commitment to LGBT stereotypes and exclusivity that leaves much of the actual LGBT community continuing to be oppressed and denied their rights under the Obama administration. Although significant, the legalization of same-sex marriage is insufficient on its own and only "total queer liberation" would be acceptable if we truly seek to eliminate unjust power structures, Massimino writes.

Possibly the most notable transgender hero who has been persecuted by the Obama administration is Chelsea Manning. Despite openly claiming to embrace the transgender community, the Obama administration and associated media sycophants continue to cite Manning's gender reassignment as evidence of psychological ills affecting her.

US still bleeds lives and dollars in Iraq

The Blog

The US is still committing troops to war in Iraq despite having no clear goal and obviously being defeated in the country.

Noting that the US still has over 3000 troops in Iraq in an analysis for the Center for the Stateless Society (C4SS), antistatist writer Nick Ford had the following commentary:
Does it sound like war has ended in Iraq for the US military? Does it sound like the taxpayer is all of the sudden not going to have their money stolen to benefit the military-industrial complex? Does it sound like, in such a war torn country (thanks in no small part to the US), that these new 450 soldiers will really have much of a choice in whether they’re combat troops or not?
I am also unsure how it could even be tracked whether these troops stay in their “adviser” role. Maybe some decide to go off and shoot some folks anyways. How would we know? Or maybe there will be some who are de facto turned into ground troops because of the unpredictability of war torn countries. There are many questions about unaccountability that need to be answered.
To top it off, the National Journal points out that this announcement comes only two daysafter Obama admitted that he has no “complete strategy” for training Iraqi forces in fighting ISIS. So why are more troops being sent in?
To conclude, Ford also wrote, "Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who is much more qualified than I, has also gone on record saying that there is “no clear U.S. policy in Iraq and Syria.” Which, again, begs the question, what does Obama think he’s accomplishing by sending even more people to Iraq."

Netanyahu's triumph, a vote for war

The Blog

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's election victory on March 17 means a vote for war by the Israeli public, according to US historical social scientist Immanuel Wallerstein.

Netanyahu's election tactics amounted to "pure demagoguery" that reflects badly on Israeli society, Wallerstein wrote in an analysis of the Israeli election on April 1. Specifically, Wallerstein pointed to Netanyahu's immutable opposition to the two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and his warnings about a growing Arab turnout in Israeli elections as the tactics used to bring him back into office.

Wallerstein suggests a growing consensus among Israeli security figures that Netanyahu's policies are bad for Israel's security, specifically because Netanyahu has taken US-Israeli relations to historic lows:
Just before the elections, a group of distinguished Israeli security figures issued a statement, saying in effect that Netanyahu’s approach was alienating the United States and that this was desperately bad for Israel’s future as a Jewish state.
A well-deserved comparison is drawn between Israel's current regime and the apartheid regime of South Africa, as Israel is viewed in world opinion as an oppressor:
There has been a worldwide transformation of the perception of Israel as a “victim” to that of Israel as a “persecutor.” This is a nightmare for the Zionist cause in Israel. It can only get worse for Israel. There may even come a point, perhaps still a few years from now, that the United States will no longer be willing to veto resolutions in the U.N. Security Council that are critical of Israel.
Faced with the inevitable collapse of their racist state ideal, Netanyahu and most of the Israeli public who elected him rely on delaying and obstructing the peace process or instigating a new major war with the Palestinians and Israel's neighbors. In Wallerstein's words, "The message from Netanyahu is clear. He prefers the major war, and so do the voters who elected him."

US public wants to pull Zionism's plug

The clubof.info Blog

The boy who cried wolf is no longer able to convince the American public. The case against Iran is exposed as a lie and those who repeat it, traitors.

This was the view of Chad Nelson writing at Counterpunch on 9 March, after the recent debacle of Benjamin Netanyahu's 3 March plea before the United States Congress to undermine the US negotiations with Iran and insist on maintaining threats of aggression against that country.

Increasingly, "most sane Americans" are aware of the fact that the case against Iran is a lie. Seeing that Netanyahu only wants to send the United States' powerful armies to wage a new war, Americans "largely opposed" his speech. Netanyahu had already been "trumpeting the same dire warnings for decades", repeatedly stating that Iran was three years away from a nuclear weapon - even twenty years ago.

By entertaining the lies of Netanyahu and taking the side of military aggression and prejudice against Iran, the US Congress is only proving itself to be not just unpopular but illegitimate and unaccountable. This is as Nelson argues:
The growing disconnect between the US government’s staunch support of Israel and the American public’s disagreement with that support is best explained by Lysander Spooner’s No Treason No. 6, in which Spooner says of Congress, “these pretended agents of the people are really the agents of nobody.” For if members of Congress were legitimately acting as our agents, we would be “responsible for all acts done within the limits of the power entrusted to [Congress].” That constituents are not held legally responsible for the actions of their Congressional “representatives” says much about the purported agency, or lack thereof.
The clubof.info Blog adds that the negotiations with Iran are only taking place because the technologically "gifted" Zionist state lobbied the United States to destroy any regional scientific or technological developments that might deter Zionist crimes.

According to United Nations resolutions and the opinions of international civil society, the Zionist regime's escalating crimes against humanity have already included annexation, aggression, genocide and infanticide. These crimes have always been met with the disgust, fear and mass walk-outs of the international community, who consider the Zionist regime rather than Iran as a grave threat to world peace.

I Don’t Love #America Either, Rudy

@cnels43.

Wear this defiant symbol in the form of the L'Ordre Dissident Apparel

In his ongoing quest to remain relevant, Rudy Giuliani recently accused president Barack Obama of not loving America. In the ensuing outrage, Giuliani quickly backpedaled, clarifying that he doesn’t doubt Obama’s love of country, but instead believes Obama’s policies are wrongheaded, representative of someone who doesn’t know what’s in America’s best interests, as set forth in the Rudy Giuliani Handbook for Patriotism.

I must confess to Giuliani and all of the other nationalists in government: I don’t love America either. For starters, it’s worth quoting eminent scholar and semanticist Alfred Korzybski: “The map is not the territory.” What Korzybski meant is that no linguistic construct or model used to describe an existential “thing” should be confused for the thing itself. Attempts to substitute the map for the territory fail for many different reasons, not the least of which is that people will always interpret the map as representing different things, in accordance with their own subjective experiences.

When Rudy Giuliani declares that someone doesn’t love America, he defines America like most other hyperstatists — America as a political entity. The America that you can literally point to on a map, and whose borders have grown in proportion to the American military state’s aggression and brutality. The America Giuliani loves is the one made up of, first and foremost, its government, which Giuliani and his fellow American exceptionalists claim have “allowed” for the greatest freedom and prosperity in mankind’s history. Giuliani and his ilk love the Constitution, the Founding Fathers, the court system which Giuliani once worked the levers of, and all the American state’s arbitrarily drawn political sub-entities (states and cities) — one of which he ruled with an iron fist for many years. Love of America, for Giuliani, means love of its political infrastructure. No number of pictures of Giuliani at Yankees games will convince me otherwise.

Giuliani’s definition of America is a far cry from the one most Americans envision, myself included. I don’t love the American government. I have no reverence for the Constitution, nor for any part of the state machinery, which to me, doesn’t represent America at all. The things that Giuliani loves about America are irrelevant to the freedom and prosperity Americans have so often enjoyed, good fortune which Giuliani wrongly attributes to the state.

I love food, music, books, movies, language, ideas and innovations, especially those molded by some of the people who live in the region Giuliani calls America. But I love those things regardless of where they’ve came from, be it America, Canada, Africa, or the Middle East. In short, I love the human ingenuity that is the driving force behind those things. And I am in awe of the process (not thing) called culture that serves as a kiln in which many of those creations have been formed.

So while we’re on this debate about who does and doesn’t love America, count me as a no vote so long as tyrants like Giuliani are setting the bounds of the debate.
